Il a deux de moins que Kevin et 3 ans de plus que Nick. Il s'est toujours vu plus comédien que chanteur! Il s'est par ailleurs illustré dans divers comédies musicales notamment à Broadway. Dans le groupe il est avec Nick le chanteur principal, il joue également du tambourin, du clavier et de la guitare. Joe est définitivement décrit et perçut comme le "funny one" ...
